Holiday Joy

Our family loves to give to the food bank, so that local families will have a wonderfull complete turkey meal for the holidays.  We have been there, out in the cold, waiting in line with hundreds of other familites, hoping to receive some food for the holidays and every other day.. Fortunately I work for a company that puts together wonderful complete meals for families during the holidays.  They call it "HOLIDAY JOY".  This company does not make a dime on these meals.  I talked to Dave and asked if some of the money donated by the members could be used in combination with my $20 ".  He got the OK!  I am pleased to  say that our $20 together was able to feed 5 families, a total of 25 people had complete turkey dinners for the holidays.  But gues what!  Our company sent 5 extra dinners to us by mistake , and was given to the food bank from our church, a total of 50 people shared wonderful meals . WOW!  What a miracle!  Thanks to everyone!

Putting Our Hands to Work!

There are 4 of us in our family so we had $80.00.  We decided that we wanted to try and make some more money with our money.  We knew we wanted to give our money to our friend Sarah.  She is going to Africa to help women with health issues.  We decided to use our money to make Christmas wreaths.  We bought wreath forms, ribbons, wire, and decorations.  Our family had a great time cutting branches in the woods.  We made and sold 20 wreaths and made $355.00.  We had a great time working together and Sarah was happy to use the money for expenses.  It felt good to give to someone.  We loved the project!  It showed us how God can bless your efforts.
